Yeah, I know, there is no autocorrect for a word that ridiculous. I bet it got your attention though, because you’re still reading. Meta is the leader in social media platforms with Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.
Dave Kerpen writes in his book Likable Social Media, “Two terms that become important in this environment of content shock are reach and impressions. Reach is the number of unique people who see a piece of content. Impressions are the number of times a piece of content is displayed. In social media, an impression means your post showed up in someone’s social media and every time they see it is an additional impression.”
These are the principle analytics that should drive a business in deciding which social media platform to focus on. Sure, there are other things to consider like age, daily users, and other demographics.

I personally like Instagram. I prefer the short-form video and photo content model. Sarah Israell writes in her blog titled 7 Types of Social Media and How Each Can Benefit Your Business, “This type of content is quick to film and edit, making it perfect for businesses with a lean social media team. Short on inspiration? The constant stream of trends on each platform means that inspiration for your next short-form video is at your fingertips.”
Another reason I like Instagram is because I can create content and that gets shared on my Facebook and Threads as well. Depending on the campaign you can modify the original Instagram post to fit the Facebook format and vice versa for Threads, although Threads doesn’t have the reach of X, Blue Sky, or Reddit (yet).
So, when you create a Meta Ads Manager business account you can manage across all platforms. The reach of Meta around the world is in the billions of people actively using the platform.
With the uncertainty of Tik Toc in the USA, and controversy surrounding other platforms, Instagram, along with the other Meta platforms, provide the most potential reach and impressions. That’s just too good to just scroll past.
